June 23 is when you'll have the last chance before the summer to see three interesting presentations at Dorkbot Sofia.
We will be presenting Emilian Lalev, who will demonstrate his Dream Glasses - wireless interactive glasses that track the phases of your sleep. Lalev is a Cognitive Sciences student at NBU.
The second presentation is by the group 10.11, students of the Digital Arts MA programme at the National Academy of Arts in Sofia. They will demonstrate the technology behind their interactive performance Seat & Beat, which will be performed during the Water Tower Festival, Small Season Festival and Da Fest, all in the coming months in Sofia.
Special guests of this month's meeting are Sofar Channel from Berlin; Mara Goldwyn and Maxfield Gassmann. They have been working together for two years now, mostly on music projects. Mara and Max are in Sofia to participate in the Watertower festival, where they will present their installation Tele-shrine, to be build on top of the remains of ancient Serdica. The installation consists of an electronic network that will produce sound when touched by the visitors. More about their installation and what has inspired them, you'll find out at Dorkbot Sofia.
This mont's meeting will take place on June 23 at The Fridge, Ovche Pole str. 122, at 7pm. This will be the last meeting before the summer, we will be back in September.
