Back in December of 2009 we held a "Newbie Lunch" at The Pit in downtown Raleigh as a way to get a bunch of social media types together. It's time to do it again! We only have room for 50 people. We will not allow 1 more, so make sure you can come if you grab a ticket. Who should come? If you use Twitter, you should come. If you have ever been asked by someone about Foursquare, you should come. If you have a website, blog or Facebook fan page, you should definately come. If you like barbeque, you should come. If you have ever gone to Ignite Raleigh, you should attend. If you've never heard of Ignite Raleigh, you need to come. What's this all about? Social media is all about connections, but connections can only flourish if they are carried over to real life. This is a chance for you to catch up with old friends and make new friends. Your challenge is to bring someone who never usually comes to an event like this! What's in it for me? Maybe a new life? Better job?
