Here is the plan-

For those of you who haven't been to New Orleans there are some things you should know:
There is music, music and more music- jazz, bounce, and anything else you can find in the nooks and crannies of this historical city.
Also- the food is AMAZING! Whether you want spicy creole dishes or something delectable and fattening it is probably only a few blocks away...
This is a city with a haunted history- and a culture embedded with voo-doo
The bars are open 24 hrs a day- and I believe they invented the "to go" cup.
You can go out on the Bayoo and see crocodiles...or gaters--im not sure which, if you do it then you can let me know :)
The people in NOLA are really proud and have risen from ashes- it is a hidden gem of the United States! (I sound like a tour guide- but I am being sincere)
For those of you who haven't been to NOLA for Halloween- this is how I understand it...
It is warm in the south- and humid...but October is the best time to go....
There is a music festival (NOLA is good at these) called Voo-Doo Fest- the line up this year includes- Sound Garden, My Chemical Romance, Girl Talk, Soul Rebels Brass Band, City+Colour, Portugal-the man, and X- the festival is on the 28th-30th and will be fun for those of you who chose to attend.

Otherwise, or in addition- NOLA takes its costumes SERIOUSLY- bring 3, get ready for parties, parades, or buy tickets to the annual ball at Hotel Monteleone...plus it is the spookiest city you could spend your Halloween in.
FOR THE ABOVE REASONS AND BECAUSE I AM SUGGESTING IT, YOU NEED TO BUY AN AIRLINE TICKET AND FLY TO NOLA FOR HALLOWEEN- ALSO YOU SHOULD STAY IN A HOTEL...I AM THINKING THE FRENCH QUARTER- HERE ARE SOME HELPFUL TIPS:
Buy your airline tickets however you see fit...and come whenever you want....but obviously Saturday and Sunday are essential- yes four days in New Orleans is short, but trust me...they will be four LONG days. (In a good way)
Hotel Monteleone- best hotel, haunted rooms, and carousel bar...
a bit pricey but check it out if you are feeling fancy...

The Omni- also upscale...

We are all grown ups, we know how to look for a hotel- I haven't picked mine yet...stay tuned, and lets feel free to discuss and bounce ideas off of eachother...
Also I will answer any questions I can!!
I really hope everyone can make it...and invite whoever you want- there is always a need for a fun companion in NOLA- not that we can't find some there ;)
