On June 28, join the Wokai - San Francisco chapter for the Bay Area premiere of "Mushroom After Rain" (”雨后“), a documentary film on the day-to-day impact of microfinance in rural China. Follow the life of Fu Yajun, a mother of three in the Yilong countryside of Sichuan, who works with her husband to start a mushroom farm with the support of microloans.
The film will be followed by a brief discussion on China's economic and social development, and the impact of microfinance in the fastest growing country in the world today.
Hors d'ouevres and beverages will be provided.
