The poster will need to follow this years 4th of July theme, “Sigourney Stars, Stripes, and Smiles.” All posters must be on poster board. There will be two different age groups that will compete, children going into grades Kindergarten – 2nd and 3rd – 6th. One winner from each age group will have their poster as the center of our 4th of July window display at the new City Hall. The winners will also receive a $50 savings bond provided by MidWestOne Bank and get their picture in the paper. All posters are due by June 24th at 3:00pm at the City Clerk’s office. Contest winners will be contacted by Monday, June 27th. For more details contact the City Clerk’s office at 622-3080.

All businesses are encouraged to sport their crazy 4th of July gear! We are looking for all RED on Friday, July 1 and all BLUE on Saturday, July 2. We hope you all can join in the fun!
