It’s been too long since our last mixer of bloggers, tech folks, and artists. So with much excitement, I would like to invite you to the next Mashpot event on July 6th at 111 Minna from 7pm-9pm.

As always, this event is an informal get-together, intended to facilitate collaborations and strengthen the Bay Area music community. In this light, we’re happy to announce we’ll be partnering with Audyssey’s “The Neighborhood,” which focuses on promoting local musicians. In addition to providing light snacks and drinks for Mashpot, The Neighborhood will showcase performances from Bay Area artists Jel (Oakland), Main Attrakionz (Oakland) and Aeropsia (San Francisco).

In continuation with our goal to create a collaborative media environment, highlighting ways to simultaneously bridge communities in person and online, we plan to make this a photo event:

What is a photo event?

If you have an iPhone or Android we’d like to ask to utilize your photo application (we suggest Instagram or Color) as a way to meet other Mashpot members.

How do you this?

It’s easy. Approach other members, drink in hand, and ask them who they are, what they do, and if you can take a photo of them.

Then what…

Share your photos with the rest of the community on Twitter (#Mashpotter/ @Mashpotter) or on Facebook (@Mashpot) with their name and which community they're a part of:
1) a technologist (designer/programmer/etc.)
2) a creative (artist/musician/etc.)
3) a communicator (blogger/journalist/publicist/etc).

In return,

We will feature profiles on Mashpot.org of the top three individuals highlighting anything you want (links/news/blogs/band page/etc.). You will be poster examples, for future collaborators how we bring together communities. We will also be super appreciative!
