Social Media Day will be celebrated on Thursday, June 30 in Sober Lane at 7:30pm. To celebrate this worldwide event there will be informal networking for people with an interest in social media and all are welcome to attend.

This event is the brain child of the social media news site, Mashable. This worldwide celebration is expected to stage meet-ups in over 90 countries with over 12,000 attendees expected to attend across the globe.

I thought it was very fitting for Cork to do something to mark the occasion so why not come along for a drink after work and have a chat with a Twitter friend IRL!

There will be a Twitter based quiz with prizes from the Clarion, Cork Racecourse, Tom Murphy’s Menswear, CorkComputers.ie. and more!
