We're gonna do it up right with a good ole-fashioned 'merican house party to celebrate the 4th. Except we're doin' it on the 3rd so we have an extra day to chill since there aren't any damn fireworks this year anyway. On that note, no fireworks at my place, for reals, my bamboo forest is really dry and would love to catch on fire. Except sparklers, that's totally fine.

So come play with us, come as early as you want really, we'll just be hangin out all day. There will be some live music (maybe around 9pm-ish?) provided by DJ Neiliyo and Chris, and I'm considering the purchase of a pinata and other silly things. Everyone is invited, the more the merrier. All I ask is that you bring something to contribute to the fun: food, BYOB, or a couple bucks for the donation jar will do just fine too!

UPDATE: We will be renting a 33ft long inflatable slip-n-slide, and it's going to be epic. PLEASE note the following things:

-Bring a towel, and perhaps some shoes that can get wet

-Do not wear stuff that you are not comfortable getting mud on. This is probably going to get messy and become mudfest 2011.

-No dogs, it will simply be too muddy and messy and I want to minimize the mud that gets into the house

-We are NOT liable for anything that goes down on this slip-n-slide, slide at your own risk!

-HAVE FUN

-We have the slide for ALL of Sunday AND Monday, so if you want to go on a bender, now's the time. We have plenty of room and anyone is welcome to crash here (don't get wasted and drive)

-No water balloons, unless you want to pick up all the pieces of plastic. We have dogs and I don't want balloon pieces everywhere. Squirt guns all the way.

-At the end of the slide will be a pool. In that pool, we want to have lots of inflatable items to land on. If you have any blow-up lizards or tortugas or alligators or what have you, bring 'em.
