Roxy and I have successfully built a boat from recycled plastic drinking bottles and paddled it across the largest lake in Japan in order to raise money for Japan’s tsunami orphans. Even though this event has passed, we are still pushing to collect at much money as possible. We hope our efforts will inspire you to donate to this incredible cause.
When the March 11 earthquake and tsunami hit Japan children in the affected areas were in schools on higher ground while their homes and loved ones were washed away. Over 150 children have left orphaned by these tragic events, though the government expect the number to rise above 200. The loss and suffering they are facing is unimaginable and the orphanages they must now call home have been left badly damaged. We want to help.
Your donations will go to The Tohoku Kids Project who will use the money to replace necessities, including both personal and shared items that took years for the orphanages to collect. They will also provide children with professional counseling and a wide range of therapeutic activities to help them move on past the tragedy they’ve endured.
We really hope our creativity, determination and sheer courage in undertaking the Biwa Bottle Boat Challenge will inspire you to donate as much as you can! Please click this link to donate:

Together we can make a huge difference.
With love and thanks,
