Pickling is much easier than you might believe. Almost everything tastes better pickled, not just cucumbers.
Maybe you'd like to try pickling watermelon rind, or strawberries, or sour cherries, or grapes, or green beans. You could also make dill pickles, too!

Really, there is no end to the great recipes you can follow to make pickled things.
So, pickle something between now and August 10th. Or pickle a lot of things between now and August 10th! Decide on your favorite. Take photographs. Write up the recipe (if you are using someone else's recipe, be sure to give the correct attribution). Write up a blog post. Or put up a photo and description here.
