Greetings Gang - It’s been a while...and it might be again!

We’ve been chillin’ and relaxin’ for a couple of months, making food happenings and music websites, and trying to figure out what’s what in the world of beat-driven music. And, having spent some time on Rinse.FM, we think we’ve found a perfect somebody for the perfect Treehouse. (And, yes, at a perfect time.)

Meet SBTRKT (http://soundcloud.com/sbtrkt), a man with a plan, a new album on Young Turks/XL (http://www.sbtrkt.com/sbtrktdebut.php), and a gig at PS1’s awesome “Warm-Up” party this upcoming Saturday (alongside Treehouse fave/friend Four Tet) (Go!: http://newyork.timeout.com/music-nightlife/nightlife/1633751/warm-up-2011-four-tet). SBTRKT represents a current London dance sound that mixes whatever dubstep has turned into, with whatever our beloved Detroit/Chicago sound has spawned, and whatever “World” music has been seeded inside DJ DNA. After the PS1 daytime jam, SBTRKT has decided to come to Greenpoint and play a few with yours truly, Mr. Jones and Mr. ‘boy. And we’d love for you to be there.

‘Cause it might be the last one for a while. What with food happenings, music websites and (gottnabbit) babies, Team Treehouse has been overwhelmed with responsibilities...though rarely too overwhelmed to discover new records.
