I'm not going to go into what IS and what IS NOT a chili. That will be for your fellow potluckers to determine.
My interpretation is fairly loose
either:
use chili peppers in your dish
-OR-
the dish looks like what Americans call "Chili"
It can be raw, with beans, without beans, all veggie, or maybe you use some fish. go crazy, but spice without flavor is never a good thing. and oh, Along with your Chili (enough for 20+ tasting portions) consider bringing garnishes you think you're dish would benefit from.
Other than that the only rule is to bring some bottles of delicious wines/beers/sodas. As always bowls, cups, plates and silverware will be provided. Friends of friends are always welcome.
