Since we normally have large groups there is a break out of faster hikers, medium chatty hikers and then a group of more leisurely first time paced hikers.
Bring layers as the temperature can turn chilly at the top. Bring plenty of water, snacks and pack a lunch to enjoy at the lake.
This is a dog friendly hike. This is a moderate hike that some kids might like. Can get steep in some areas.
You will need to get a wilderness permit to park at the trail head. We only need one permit per vehicle. They can be purchased at the Shell station in North Bend next to Starbucks.
(Brandon and I both have annual Wilderness permits, feel free to carpool from Starbucks with one of us.)

Feel free to invite your friends, this is always a very nice group of people.

~~Trail Info:~~
The road up to the trail head is VERY rough. I do not recommend cars that are not equipped to deal with large potholes and rough terrain. I will be bringing the Subaru. ;)
The Mason Lake trail starts off on a former logging road. Along the way there are occassional views down into the Snoqualmie Valley, and several streams. After about a half hour you will experience the beginning of the new Mason lake trail. The first 15 minutes or so is the steepest of the trail. From here on out the new trail takes a measured approach to gaining the ridge, behind which Mason Lake resides.
