A report on hate crimes and discrimination of transgendered people was recently published in the US. Such reports are becoming increasingly more common in various countries, from Australia to the EU.
In the meantime, discussions circulating around the one year old transgender report from the National Board of Health and Welfare continues. We invite you to a round table talk regarding the situation of transgendered people, human rights, possibilities of full inclusion into society and the right to form a family and to become a transgendered parent.
During the years, two pillars of society have been said to be the main opposition to a more positive development regarding the rights of transgendered people: politics and religious groups.
Thus, our goal is to gather representatives from these two worlds as we wish to put the fighting of the past to rest and discuss the possibilities of finding a new, more constructive path to a better future for transgendered people in Sweden.
