Alamo Beer Challenge- Home Brewed, Home Grown, HomeRUN!
There’s a new race series in town! The Alamo Beer Challenge will get you race ready for the upcoming Rock’n'Roll San Antonio Marathon and 1/2 Marathon.
There’s no reason why training for the RNR SA shouldn’t be fun! The Alamo Beer Challenge will have bands, food, and Alamo Beer at each race event. In addition, these races will introduce you to some unique, wonderful places to run in San Antonio.
About the Challenge:
Our goal with the Alamo Beer Challenge is to get you to the finish line of the RNR SA Marathon or 1/2 Marathon. But we want you to have fun getting there! We will have bands, food and beer at each race. We will introduce you to some of the great places in San Antonio to get a locally brewed beer. And we will introduce you to some new places to run. So after the run, you will enjoy knowing that you are getting closer to your goal of a great half marathon or full marathon.
Awards:
Awards will be special growlers with logo’s etched and 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etched into to the award.
First overall male and female and first overall masters, male and female
21-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Alamo Beer Challenge, Race #1 – Remember the Alamo---Beer: 5K & 10K
Start Time: Dusk Run: 7:30pm

Description:
This is a 5K and 10K very fast flat beautiful course. Runners can park in the via park and ride under 1604 and ih10. Start/finish at that location. It will be an out and back 5k and 10k. One aid station for the 10k people aid station for 5ker’s is the start/finish. After the race the awards will be at free tail, so everyone will progress to that location right after the race.
Event Fees:
5K - $30, $40 on race day
10K - $35, $45 on race day
Awards:
Awards will be special growlers with logo’s etched and 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etched into to the award.

Alamo Beer Challenge, Race #2 – Battle of the Mac Park: 8K & 15K
Start Time: 7:30PM (Night Run)
Date & Location: August 13, 2011, McAllister Park.

Event Description:
This is a 8K and 15K, if you are marathon or half marathon bound this is the race for you. Food will be provided by Highlander Bar. Alamo Beer and Ranger Creek Brewstillery will be on hand to talk about brewing.

8K - $35, $45 on race day
15K - $45, $55 on race day

Alamo Beer Challenge Race #3 – Mission Possible: 10K & 20K

Alamo Beer Challenge Race #4 – The Battle of Leon Creek: 15K & 20-Miles
Start Time: 8:00am.

Event Description:
This is it your final race before the marathon. This is a fast out and back course. Same as race #1 except this time you go further. 15K and 20 Miles. Your ready for the RNR Marathon. Hosted by drury inn with the after race get together at their location.
