Yoji has been our managing director since the inception of ZenShin Capital in January 2005. Yoji brings in 14 years of experience in engineering and U.S.-Japan business development activities. Most recently, he was a co-founder & the CEO of a consulting company in Silicon Valley. He successfully brought a security appliance start-up to Japanese market, and created a co-development relationship between a wireless chip venture and a Japanese company.
Previously, as a Senior Manager of NTT Advanced Technology, U.S. office, he successfully launched its operation in Silicon Valley, and developed alliance strategy between an NTT group company and U.S. venture capital firms.
In Japan, Yoji worked for NTT, and played a key role in an e-commerce project with an American mall developer and Internet networking projects with AT&T and Deutsche Telecom. As a chief engineer, he developed and successfully deployed the software system that operates NTT’s long-distance transmission network.
Yoji received his MBA from Stanford Business School, and his MS and BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tokyo.
