Josh Berry, 41, and Robin Berry, 40, died on July 2 when a car veered into oncoming traffic on Highway 285 in Fort Stockton and struck their minivan head-on. The family was on their way home from a vacation in Colorado.
The couple’s three children were injured in the crash. 9-year-old Peter Berry and 8-year-old Aaron Berry were airlifted from Covenant Health System's Women's and Children's Hospital in Lubbock to Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital last Wednesday night after sustaining serious spinal cord injuries. They are both paralyzed below the waist. Six-year-old Willa was less seriously injured and is recovering at a family friend's home.
“As soon as I heard about the tragedy, I knew we had to do something” said John McPherson, owner of P3 CrossFit in Bellaire.
On Saturday, August 27th from 8am – 1pm P3 CrossFit will open its doors to do the “Aaron, Peter & Willa” tribute WOD to raise funds and awareness for The Berry Family Children Trust.
