Pig and Whiskey Event Hours: 12-8 p.m.
Whiskey and BBQ will be available to sample from 12-8 p.m. Live music begins at 5 p.m. and will end with the Detroit Cobras at 9:45 p.m. The beer tent will stay open through the entertainment! Pig and Whiskey is free to attend!
Metro Times is partnering with the Woodward Avenue Brewers (WAB) and the Emory to close E. Troy Street for this event and the event will be free to attend. Pig and Whiskey will be the premier regional barbecue event with a whiskey-drenched twist.
Whiskeys will be available to sample by purchasing drink tickets. Drink tickets are $2.50 for 1 ticket or $20 for 10 tickets. The beer tent will also feature several selections of WAB beer. All beer tent selections are 2 tickets for a 16oz beer cup.
Restaurant samples will be available via cash purchase for around $2. Some of the restaurants will offer larger plates for around $7.

Pig and Whiskey will showcase Southeast Michigan’s best barbecue restaurants while highlighting unique and delicious pork, beef and barbecue dishes. In addition there will be plenty of bourbon, scotch, and whiskey brands available to sample.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southeastern Michigan creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. They believe that every child deserves a safe and
supportive place to grow.
