The 2011 Nationwide Insurance Columbus Marathon and 1/2 Marathon is on Sunday, Oct. 16 and starts near the intersection of Broad and Third Streets in downtown Columbus at 7:30 a.m. for walkers and runners. The course will be open until 3:00 p.m.

The 2011 Nationwide Insurance Columbus Marathon and 1/2 Marathon is on Sunday, Oct. 16 and starts near the intersection of Broad and Third Streets in downtown Columbus at 7:30 a.m. for walkers and runners. The course will be open until 3:00 p.m.
The ½ Marathon will start in tandem with the full marathon at 7:30 a.m. and the ½ marathon athletes will run or walk with the full marathoners until they turn left onto Nationwide Blvd. to the finish at 13.1 miles.
There is a cap of 6,000 marathoners and 11,000 1/2 marathoners. The event has sold out for the past four years in a row.
