MCA BDay Celebration
It was the summer of '73. A very memorable summer. The Watergate scandal broke. Secretariat became the first triple crown winner ever. King Mohammed Zahir Shah of Afghanistan was deposed by his cousin Mohammed Daoud Khan while in Italy undergoing eye surgery. And in a Topeka, KS hospital, Diane Andrews popped out a 4 foot 3 inch baby with an afro.

Flash forward to the present. It's July. You have nothing to do on Saturday, July 30th. You are still pissed about that change in regime in Afghanistan 38 years ago and you wonder what the world would be like if Mohammed Daoud had better eyesight. But most importantly your mind is fixated on one thing: is MCA having his annual bday extravaganza/blowout this year or what?
Details:
What: Come help MCA celebrate his bday at an A’s game
Where: Oakland Coliseum – Oakland Athletics vs. Minnesota Twins
When: Saturday, July 30th at 6pm – here are the plans:
3:30pm: For those that want to meet up early for pre-game cocktails and BART over to the game, head to MCA's pad (59 Rodgers St. #A, SF). BART is a 3 block walk from the pad.
5:45pm: For those that are meeting at the stadium, let’s try to meet at the exit of the bridge for BART around this time - game starts around 6:05. Again, call/text if you're running late.
Since both teams suck, tickets will be pretty easy to come by – we’ll pick them up at the stadium when we arrive. Likely going to sit in the bleachers, so cost will be around $15. Also, of note....it is 'Beerfest' night and 80s cover band Tainted Love will be performing after the game.
It has been awhile since I have seen most of you - hope y'all are doing well and can make it out. If I missed anyone on this list - please forward on. The more the merrier. Word.
