WKAR invites viewers and listeners to our Fall Preview on Wednesday, August 24, at 7:30 p.m. in WKAR Studio A. You'll get a sneak peek at exciting new programs and initiatives at WKAR-TV and WKAR Radio and a preview of the PBS Arts Fall Festival coming to WKAR-TV. You'll also meet our new colleagues in the Michigan State University College of Communication Arts & Sciences.

WKAR will also celebrate and recognize community arts advocate Ken Beachler for his more than five decades of supporting and leading arts initiatives in the mid-Michigan area. Beachler was the founding executive director of Wharton Center for Performing Arts and has played a key role in regional community theatre. He was also WKAR-FM's first fine arts program director.
