With the purpose of fostering long-term thinking, this project is being overseen by the Foundation’s director, clock designer and clock project manager Alexander Rose, who will present on the creation of the clock. Clock designer and The Long Now Foundation executive director Alexander Rose will present an overview and update on the project at the Museum of Contemporary Art, 220 E. Chicago Ave. from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on July 27. Some people say that they feel the future is slipping away from them. To me, the future is a big tractor-trailer slamming on its brakes in front of me just as I pull into its slip stream. I am about to crash into it.
