Gay and Straight. White and Colored. Thin and Fat. Cherry Limeades and Ocean Waters. These artist’s polarities give rise to one another, and in turn create an environment for creativity, encouragement, discovery and friendship. Yin-Yang Twins is a collection of new collaborative works by Austin artists Dylan Reece and Carlos Rosales-Silva. Throughout their friendship, the two have been on an odyssey of sexual frustration, chemical indulgence, and intellectual, emotional and creative exchange. The works in the show will present a reflection of these misadventures, charting a meandering course towards some sense of balance and harmony.
