This time, we will take the overnight slow boat from Tokyo, returning to Tokyo Sunday late afternoon on the speedy Jet Ferry.

This time, we will take the overnight slow boat from Tokyo, returning to Tokyo Sunday late afternoon on the speedy Jet Ferry.

Pricing:
Fee of JPY 45,000 includes round trip ferry, one night stay on the island including all meals; Saturday lunch through Sunday lunch, two dives included per day (JPY 1,500 per extra dive beyond the first four), four tanks and weights/weight belts also included. Bring your dive light for the night dive if you have one, or you can rent one from the shop at JPY 500 a day.

Dive Itinerary:
The itinerary at Oshima Island is always an adaptive one due to all kinds of logistical variables, and our willingness to meet the needs of each dive group. Generally, two or three daytime dives will be available on Saturday. A Saturday night dive is also available if there is enough interest. In the summer months, this “night” dive will be more of a twilight dive due to the need to get back for dinner at 8pm. Sunday, two or three dives will be available. Please note as described above, that four dives total are included in the basic weekend package. “Extra dives” beyond the first four are charged at a rate of JPY 1,500 per tank.

So,for an energetic group, with ideal ocean conditions and logistics, up to 7 dives are possible for the weekend.

This trip, the ferry will leave Tokyo Takeshiba Port:
11:00 pm departure, arrive at Oshima around 5:30 am Saturday morning.

Jet Ferry from Oshima:
4:30 pm departure, arrive in Tokyo around 6:15 pm.

I've got 15 spots total...2 will be leadership staff, a few more, my family…10 spots available, so act fast.

For a limited-space trip like this, we may not be able to accommodate non-divers. Please inquire.

This time, we have reserved seating on the overnight boat...general sleeping area, which is a large carpeted floor space. We usually rent blankets on the boat for only JPY 100 each, or you can bring your sleeping bag.

Return will be Jet ferry departing Oshima Island 4:30 pm Sunday, returning to Tokyo Takeshiba port.

Deposit of JPY 20,000 is required to lock in reservation; the balance of the full payment (JPY 25,000) will be collected at the ferry terminal before departure.

Steps for reserving this trip:
1. First indicate intention on the Facebook page
2. Fill out the web form for this event.
3. If there is too much interest, we will create a wait list.
4. When contacted for deposits through the Facebook Messaging system, the receipt of a deposit is the final stage of locking in your space for the trip. Deposit instructions will be sent with that message.
