Internationaler Tag gegen Homophobie und Transphobie 2012

Am 17.Mai 2012 findet der "Internationale Tag gegen Homophobie und Transphobie" statt.

In viele Städten findet an diesem Tag, wie im Jahr 2011, ein Flashmobb statt.

Homosexualität ist keine Krankheit! Am 17. Mai 1990 beschloss die Generalversammlung der Weltgesundheits- organisation (WHO) längst Überfälliges: Homosexualität von der Liste psychischer Krankheiten zu streichen. Der 17. Mai wurde daraufhin zum Internationalen Tag gegen Homophobie ausgerufen. Das Europäische Parlament betonte im Januar 2006, dass Diskriminierung aufgrund sexueller Orientierung auf das Schärfste verurteilt wird – eine Kampfansage gegen Homophobie und Hassgewalt, der alle Mitgliedstaaten verpflichtet sind.
