San Francisco--with the nooks and crannies of the day-to-day places that mark our lives, as well as glimpses into the way that San Francisco itself has become an integral part of identity--is an inspiration to photographer Julie Michelle and poet Silvi Alcivar.

Together, Julie and Silvi have combined images and poems to share parts of the city with you: scenes and words that are intimate, hidden and familiar.

Silvi Alcivar is a San Francisco based poet and owner of The Poetry Store.
