For the next installment of Translator's Experience Series, we enthusiastically welcome Len Kendall in from Chicago. Len is a curious person who treats the internet like a giant bucket of LEGOs. He's a part of GolinHarris Digital in Chicago working on brands like McDonald's, Dow, and Unilever. He's also the CoFounder of the3six5 project—a non-fiction diary written by a different person each day—a blogger for GOOD magazine, and recently helped write a sketch-comedy show at Second City. His presentation Making Makers will focus on his experience getting the3six5 project up, running, and turned over to the community, as well as gis.to, another platform he co-founded that provides crowd-sourced overviews of longer format content. After his presentation, Len will also lead a topic-based micro-brainstorming session with attendees with the goal of participants actually concepting ideas that can be built. But wait, there’s more!
the3six5 project
a one-act play
We’ve chosen to ambitiously stage the3six5 project as a live performance. Len Kendall will curate his favorite posts, and we’ve invited local actors, musicians and digital “celebrities” to help us bring it to life. Featured performers include Victor DeLorenzo, Nick Pipitone, Sara Santiago, Bill Finn, Katie Felten, John Komp, Tarik Moody and more. Video artist Scott Johnson will create a digital set design, and composer Mark Mantel will create a score. It’s not only off-Broadway, it’s totally offline.
Doors open at 6:00 pm
Presentation begins at 7:00 pm
Drinks, food, smarts and theater. An experience not to be missed!
