We are living in an increasingly interdependent world, for better or for worse. One of the aims of the University of Melbourne is to equip students with the leadership skills and knowledge of the world to become actively engaged with global issues.
If you are interested to learn more about how to do this,please apply to attend the Symposium at the University of Melbourne for the Australian launch of the Global Interdependence Movement. Applications are now open at <www.interdependence.unimelb.edu.au/event.html>.
This will be held on Monday 12 September 2011 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm at Ormond College in conjunction with events all over the world. Please see more information at the Global Interdependence Movement website <www.interdependencemovement.org>.
The program for the event will be developed in consultation with you through the online application, taking into account your ideas, including your artistic and cultural contributions. We encourage you to create “a performance dedicated to global interdependence” lasting between 3 - 5 minutes.
This Symposium is an initiative of the University’s Global Engagement Division with the support of Ormond College and the Global Peace Index <www.visionofhumanity.org>.
