As a New Yorker this is not only an important cause for me, but anyone for that matter. 100% of the Net proceeds of what we raise goes to first responder Healthcare. The government has dropped the ball in helping the people that went down and dug for not their friends or family, but for complete strangers and asked for nothing in return.
Their are thousands of first responders who are now suffering and the government is doing nothing to help with their medical treatments. What little they have offered, they make these people jump through hoops to get any medical help.
These first responders aren't asking for a hand out. But the medical bills are ridiculous to look at to say the least. And not only do they need help they deserve it.
