Word4Word is now being taken over by National Theatre Wales’ TEAM programme with organisers Natalie Stone, Anna Poole and Mark Blayney Stuart.
The next Word4Word will be a Free Entry open mic event for creative words of any kind - with a prize pot for the winner and two runners up!
We welcome all types of words – from poetry, performance poetry, spoken word, lyrics, micro-fiction, chunks of fiction to monologues, dialogues, mini-devised theatre – anything you would like to present in five minutes. We’re open to your interpretation so get in touch!
Performers who would like to take part, please register interest at
word4word@nationaltheatrewales.org. We have two spaces left. First come first serve.
There will be a limit of 15 places, and you get a maximum slot of 5 minutes. Performers should arrive before 8pm and will be issued with the running order.
The theme this month is Flight.
Headlines to be announced!
CAI is on Park Place, opposite the museum.
------------------------------------------------------------------
If you have written something you would prefer someone else to read - for example a monologue – then we encourage you to link up with an actor (a good shout is on National Theatre Wales Community) and we can provide a space for you to meet and run through before the event on the 15th. If you need any more help with this process or a second pair of eyes we will be available. Don’t hesitate to get in touch.
There will be photography and filming on the night for the National Theatre Wales community and your participation is taken as agreement to being filmed and your image used for NTW community publicity. If you are unhappy about this, please discuss with us in advance of the night.
So spread the word – far and wide – and hope to see you all there!
