*The PISTAHAN PARADE will be held on SATURDAY, AUGUST 13, 2011*
This year's Pistahan Parade and Festival will celebrate and showcase Filipino heritage, culture, music, arts and heroes. This year's theme of "Heritage and Heroes" will commemorate the 150th birthday of Philippine National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal and celebrate modern day and everyday heroes.
PARADE CALL TIME: 9:00 am
PARADE STARTS: 11:00 am
PARADE ROUTE:
From Embarcadero to Yerba Buena Gardens:
Begin at Beale St, go west on Market St, left on Fourth St, end on Folsom St.
Your organization's dedicated and continued efforts to promote, preserve and celebrate our heritage will greatly enhance this year's Pistahan Parade and Festival. Of course all groups are welcome to participate, even non-Filipino organizations, to make this parade a San Francisco Bay Area tradition.
We look forward to your participation at this year's 18th Annual Pistahan Parade and Festival and help recognize your organization's contributions by joining the Parade.
