Mina Dresden in association with Last Gasp Publishing is pleased to present an art exhibition and the book release: I AM NOT OF THIS PLANET: THE ART OF GARY EDSON ARLINGTON a collection of drawings and paintings of an inspirational figure from the early years of the underground comix scene.
In the 1960'x, Gary Arlington opened the first underground comix book shop in America, the San Francisco Comic Book Company. Today, Arlington spends his time making his own unique brand of art. This exhibition contains work on canvas, board and his daily drawings. The book is jam-packed with 90 pages of eye-popping images, including recent work as well as snippets from diary pages written during the heyday of underground comix.
