Diamondbag has been around for over 10 years now, meaning we've done almost everything a marginally-talented local cover band could usually hope to do. However, there are a few things we've yet to accomplish:

Diamondbag has been around for over 10 years now, meaning we've done almost everything a marginally-talented local cover band could usually hope to do. However, there are a few things we've yet to accomplish:
1. Amaze the crowd with our fabulous version of the Captain & Tennille's "Muskrat Love."
2. Play a show at Lee Harvey's.
3. Leave a gig sober.
4. Play the entire classic Neil live album "Hot August Night" from start to finish.
My friends, I promise you that #1 and #3 will not happen in my lifetime. However, I am happy to report that #2 and #4 will soon be a reality! We hope you can join Diamondbag on SATURDAY AUGUST 13th at Lee Harvey's where we will perform the Diamond classic "Hot August Night" from start to finish!
"Hot August Night" is perhaps Neil's finest recorded moment. It was recorded live at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles in 1972, and my parents were actually at the show. That explains a lot about me, doesn't it? I have always wanted to play the whole album at a Diamondbag show, and at long last we're finally going to make it happen. (See, it's really hot in Texas right now. It's also August. And the show is going to be at night. Get it?)
We're also very excited to be making our first of what we hope to be many appearances at the super-cool Lee Harvey's. Amazingly, there will be NO COVER for this fabulous event. The show will start around 9:00 with all 21 "Hot August Night" songs, and of course we'll play another whole set afterwards featuring all of our other Neil classics and crazy kooky cover songs.
My friends, this one means a lot to me. Seriously. Even if you never come to another show, PLEASE come to this one. ARE YOU WITH ME, TREE PEOPLE??
