MISSION & OBJECTIVE:
South Texas Underground Film wishes to expose the best in Underground, Independent, LGBT and Women's Cinema by providing a public forum to the South Texas community.
South Texas Underground Film Festival will also showcase Underground and Female fronted bands/musicians and artists.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL:
South Texas Underground Film Festival is an International film festival that celebrates films/media in these three categories:
*Cine de Curios(underground and independent film/media)
*LGBT Film Festival(Celebration of films/media by, about and for the LGBT community and friends)
*Sisterhood in Film and Music(Celebration of women in film and music)
*Cine de Curios brings together films/media that are underground, insane, bizarre and everything that we are curious about. The festival wishes to expose the public to the best in underground, insane and bizarre features, in-betweens, shorts in any genre that fits into this category.
SHOW US YOUR UNDIES and LET'S SEE YOUR STUF!
*STUF LGBT brings together films/videos by, about or of interest to lesbians, gay men, bisexuals or transgendered/transexual people put on by South Texas Underground Film, PFLAG-Corpus Christi and GSA at Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
*Sisterhood in Film and Music celebrates film/media by and/or about women filmmakers and music by women musicians.
South Texas Underground Film is currently seeking out films/media that have:
*films/media that have controversial, alternative, political and underground point's of view.
*films/media by, about, or of interest to lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, or
transgendered/transexual people
*films/media by, about or of interest to women

South Texas Underground Film Festival is a public platform that will celebrate these filmmakers visions.
DEADLINES

*South Texas Underground Film is an official Texas non-profit
*If your film is submitted late, your film will not be screened if late submission fee isn't paid
*REGULAR DEADLINE: 30 July 2012 FREE
*LATE DEADLINE: 1 September 2012 $10
<OFFICIALLY SELECTED FILMS WILL BE POSTED ON FACEBOOK AND OUR WEBSITE>
GENERAL RULES, TERMS & CONDITIONS:
*Any genre
*Any year
*Features(60mins or more)
*In-Betweens(21mins-59mins)
*Shorts(20mins or less)
*Films submitted must be in English or Subtitled in English
*DVD NTSC Region 0 or 1
*Foreign language work must be dubbed or subtitled in English.
*In addition to your entry, please enclose any press kits, reviews, or publicity
materials.
*Please send two(2) menu-less DVD for screening.
*Presentational format will need to be in our office two weeks before the festival.
*Be sure to indicate aspect ratio of your film/video as well as any other special screening/presentation information we might need to know.
*We do not pay rental fees for submitted work that is programmed.
*Please do not post links to your films or post them on our FB, Twitter or website.
*You may post trailers, stills or promotional materials to your films.

SHIPPING:
*Cost of shipping exhibition prints to STUF is the responsibility of the entrant.
*Exhibition copies must be sent to South Texas Underground Film prepaid.
*South Texas Underground Film cannot accept responsibility for damage or loss of
materials while in transit.
*Please use only plastic or bubble pack cases when shipping entries.(Texas is very hot in the summer months and the mail can be rough on packages)
CONFIRMATION:
*Please enclose a stamped, self-addressed postcard if you wish to receive
confirmation that your entry has been received.
SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION:
*We will notify you no later than Sept. 10th through email.
*We will announce all officially selected films on our website soon after everyone has been notified.
