Methods from the Lean and Design world have revolutionised the software, manufacturing and marketing industries by ensuring that businesses stay connected to the needs of their customers. These techniques allow you to do more with smaller steps, and make sure you're heading in the right direction, not just taking a big punt on an idea.
Mini-Leancamp at Turing will bring some of the leading minds in Lean Startup and Design to you in an open, interactive event.
Bring your business ideas, and your current marketing and market traction problems, and be ready to "shatter the darkness" as one Leancamper put it.
Speakers include:
Johanna Kollmann, a Lean UX advocate, and especially interested in how UX research approaches can benefit a lean startup. She has recently mentored at Lean UX Machine Tel Aviv, organises the Agile UX meetup in London, co-founded DesignJam, and currently works as a Senior UX Consultant at EMC Consulting in London.
Antonio Terreno joined Forward in 2010 as a senior developer after being a consultant for almost 10 years. He did previously work for ThoughtWorks as a senior consultant embracing and coaching the full Agile/XP stack. He holds a bachelors degree from Turin University in Computer Science.
Salim Virani, Founder of Leancamp, Lean Startup and Business Model
Generation advocate around Europe.
You'll have a chance to discuss your issues with launching your business with them, and connect to the UK Lean Startup community. You will also have plenty of opportunity to network and collaborate with other businesses.
Not only will our speakers present and run workshops, you’re encouraged to do the same! If you have something interesting to share, or ideas you'd like to discuss, you'll find like-minded others ready to participate. Don't be shy - this is a social event!
