For the first time in a decade Raleigh citizens will have a new mayor.
Many small, urban business owners wonder how this change will impact their businesses. Where do the candidates stand on supporting the growth of these businesses? How do the candidates envision growing small, urban businesses? What changes are necessary to promote business growth? How will the new mayor make these changes? The questions are numerous.
That’s why on October 6, 2011 at 6PM all three City Of Raleigh mayoral candidates will appear and present their opinions on urban business. Candidates Nancy McFarlane, Billie Redmond, and Randall Williams will all participate. Bonner Gaylord, District E City Councilor, will be the Master of Ceremonies.
Each candidate will be allotted 5 minutes to talk about her/his vision for the future of Raleigh. They will also each respond to different questions that have been submitted from area businesses. Questions to individual candidates will be taken from the group attending. There will also be an opportunity to speak with the candidates individually.
But the discussion extends well beyond this one platform. We’re taking your questions on Twitter and Facebook. Mike Williams from the News and Observer’s triangle.com will be fielding questions and asking the candidates. We’ll also be live tweeting the event. This night is going to be momentous. And you need to be a part.
Register now! Admission is FREE, but you must order a ticket from Eventbrite (
http://downtownraleighmarketing-event-2.eventbrite.com/). Limited capacity. Don’t miss this opportunity to speak directly to the candidates.
