Larissa Polischuk is an experienced ultrarunner, having logged over 30 races at the marathon distance or further including multiple 100Ks. This past June she finished her first 100 mile race at San Diego and came away eager to race more 100 milers in the future. Prior to her foray into ultra-running, Larissa was a member of the New Balance Excelsior Racing Team, competing in many road and cross-country races. The club also introduced her to her first trail run, the Dipsea, in early 2006 and she fell hard for the trails. You’d be hard pressed to find someone who will want to run further than her on any given day. She loves and now knows the trails in the Marin Headlands and Mt. Tam like the back of her hand and occasionally gets lost in order to discover new trails (or to get more mileage). She is an NASM certified personal trainer, a member of the 2011 PCTR Racing Team, and a coach for a local trail running group, The Endurables.
Charles Lantz used to cross-train for his primary sports by running trails through parks in Northern Virginia and became a full fledged endurance athlete soon after his first race in Washington, DC during 2005. His dedication towards trail running increased rapidly upon completing the Pacific Coast Trail Runs ("PCTR") Angel Island Race in 2007. After finishing such a fun event, meeting so many great runners, running on such a scenic course, and getting his butt handed to him, he realized competitive trail running was right up his alley. Since then he's been logging miles every chance he gets on trail. Along with being a trail running enthusiast, Charles is also a fitness professional who blends his experiences in endurance sports with his background in coaching and personal training to help athletes get the most from their bodies. As a USA Track & Field Coach, Spin Instructor, TRX Trainer and NASM Certified Personal Trainer his main focus is to improve performance and get you to the finish line of your races stronger and faster than ever. Currently Charles is a member of the PCTR Racing Team, teaches at the TRX Training Center, and trains clients at the San Francisco Bay Club.
