Wesley Donehue is the founder and current CEO of Donehue Direct, a social media consultancy based out of South Carolina specializing in building websites and handling online outreach for Governors, Senators, Congressmen and political organizations across the country. He has run, worked on, or advised countless winning campaigns from the local to national level.

His current focus with Donehue Direct is to innovate politics through social media tools. His work helped lead to Senator Jim DeMint’s massive internet following and is now behind Congressman Joe Wilson’s successful internet efforts. He also runs the SC Senate Republican Caucus and has over 30 general consulting clients in the SC legislature.

A big believer in building your personal brand online, Wesley has started many side projects that showcase the benefits of social media. He founded and co-hosts a weekly political internet show called Pub Politics that boasts over 70 episodes with local, state, and national level leaders.

A member of the Association of Political and Public Affairs Professional, he was also named a 2010 Rising Star by Campaigns & Elections magazine. He currently lives in Columbia, SC with his wife and dog where he enjoys cheering for the Gamecocks, eating boiled peanuts, and winning political campaigns.
