PORTLAND, Ore. – Games, prizes, and free food, oh my! Join Martell Webster, guard forward on The Minnesota Timberwolves, and his family on Aug. 28, 2011 as they help host “Family Day” at Wallace Park (NW 25th Ave & NW Raleigh Street).
“Portland summers are so perfect – the sun is shining, people are outside playing, and it’s more important than ever to get our kids outside and active,” says Webster, guard forward on the Minnesota Timberwolves and northwest native. “This will give families a chance to spend quality time together and meet new friends.”
From 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., the public is invited to come enjoy free food, a chance to win sports apparel, play games, enter contests, attend an autograph session with Webster, and participate in a “shooting” basketball clinic. The basketball clinic will run from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the park’s basketball courts, and no registration is required. Music will also be provided by DJ
