COMPETITION GUIDELINES:
Crew sizes must be a minimum of 5 members with a maximum of 8 members. All entering crews must prepare a 5-7 minute performance piece. After the performance round, groups will be chosen to continue on to the battle portion.
The battle portion will be an ALL STYLES battle judged by a panel experienced in a variety of street dance forms. The applicable forms are as follows:
Locking
Popping
B-boy/B-girl
Hip Hop/Social Dance
House
Freestyle
Each round (final, semi-final, quarter-final depending on the number of crews) will consist of one or more crew battles. A crew battle will consist of a few exchnages. Each exchange will be focused on a particular style randomly pre-selected before the crew battle (meaning that crews will demonstrate their ability at multiple styles in a round). The styles for a round will be announced before the particular battle begins. In the event of a tie, the judges may choose yet another style and add an additional exchange. Unless it is the final round, the winner will progress to the next round.
