Join One Book One New Orleans, a project of the Young Leadership Council in partnership with the Literacy Alliance of Greater New Orleans, as we celebrate the kickoff of our 2011 selection of Dan Baum's "Nine Lives" with a fun and food-filled party at the New Orleans African American Museum in historic Tremé!
Tuck into free food from favorite local restaurants and food trucks, give a little shimmy to live brass band music, sign up for a library card from New Orleans Public Library, and learn more about literacy work being done in the Orleans Parish Prison system with Louisiana Books 2 Prisoners. We'll have copies of "Nine Lives" and New Orleans Ork posters for sale, plus information about upcoming One Book events.
