As a traditional sign of respect, Americans often offer a moment of silence in tribute to losses in our history. However, with Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and more, our lives have become too noisy for a true moment of silence.
This day, we vow to turn off the social media channels and focus our time on friends, family and volunteering.
