Bmore Musically Informed presents IRL w/ musical guests Secret Mountains, Soft Cat, and Arches
Bmore Musically Infomed is a Baltimore-based music blog that exists only
on the world wide web. For the past three years, Bmore Music has written about and published photos of events in Baltimore, Maryland that take place in real life.
At last year’s annual Whartscape festival, singer of Double Dagger Nolen Strals quoted his friend Ellie Beziat while addressing the crowd, “seems like a show doesn’t happen in this town unless there’s a photographer there.” In a generation where everyone with a cell phone can be labeled a photographer, experiencing something becomes even more important. Live music is happening every night in the most unlikely of places, whether or not you are there.
With the help of Valerie Paulsgrove, Chrissy Abbott, and Adam Lempel, Bmore Musically Informed is bringing it’s own virtual portrayals to the real world this Fall at the Metro Gallery. The photo exhibit is titled IRL, and it opens at Metro Gallery September 9th. IRL will aim to highlight the concert experiences of three photographers who attend shows as artists, members of a community, musicians, friends, fans, and humans.
Photography will only include happenings that took place in Baltimore, dating back to 2008. The opening weekend will take place Friday and Saturday, September 9 and 10, and will play host to a variety of musical acts curated by Bmore Musically Informed.
