Minnesota Public Radio presents Wits™: Special Edition featuring John Hodgman and The Mountain Goats at the Fitzgerald Theater on Friday, November 18th at 8:00 p.m.

Don't miss this special edition of Wits with our favorite minor television personality John Hodgman. You may know him as The Daily Show's Resident Expert or from a thousand Apple commercials (he was the PC) or from appearances in the movie Arthur and the TV show Battlestar Galactica. He's served as humor editor for The New York Times Magazine and has a new book, "That is All." It's the last in his three-part series of Complete World Knowledge. John Hodgman will be joined on stage by his friend, songwriter John Darnielle. Darnielle is the main, and sometimes only, goat in The Mountain Goats. Known for his lo-fi recordings on a Panasonic boom box and his highly literary lyrics, Darnielle has gained a loyal following. Sasha Frere-Jones of The New Yorker says of Darnielle "His songs, insistent and stuffed with words, are like late-night pay-phone calls from a lover determined to complete a thought before the quarter runs out." Darnielle was named by Paste Magazine as one of "100 Best Living Songwriters" and is author of the novel Black Sabbath's Master of Reality (33 1/3). The Mountain Goats' latest album is All Eternals Deck.
