September’s Feast of Words is inspired by Frontrunners: The San Francisco Foundation 2011 Murphy & Cadogan Awards Exhibition, a juried exhibition of the best work coming out of regional fine arts MFA programs, on view in our Main Gallery August 17th – September 16th.
Feast of Words is going back to school on the theme “Schoolhouse Rocks” with our very first youth reader from 826 Valencia and our very first youth chefs from Old Skool Café. Take a trip down memory lane with a modern twist on your childhood favorite and don’t forget your homework: a potluck dish to share and a #2 pencil for our creative write-off!
Following the meal and reading, there will be a creative competition of on-the-spot writing inspired by the theme. House opens at 6:30pm on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 and space is limited. Please consider purchasing tickets in advance!
