Climate change is our generation’s greatest challenge and opportunity. Every year we pump around 28 billion tonnes of carbon into the atmosphere by burning fossil fuels. We know that the earth cannot support our carbon intensive economy and that we need to change the way we use and make energy before it’s too late.
In Australia there has been a lot of political discussion about climate change but this discussion is not reflecting the urgency of the issue, nor is it reflecting the great renewable energy resources we are lucky to have in Australia.
It’s time to stop talking coal and oil and time to start talking renewable energy like wind and solar.
Join us and 181 nations for a global day of action to move away from fossil fuels. We'll be on South Lawn on the 13th September from 12-2pm for a creative action to show we're ready to move away from fossil fuel towards renewable energy and start fighting climate change.
Come by South Lawn to learn about a transition to 100% renewable energy in Australia, enjoy aycc-themed cup cakes and plant a pin wheel to show your support for a clean energy future!
Climate change is not about politics, it’s about us demanding action for a cleaner future! We can’t afford to do nothing!
