About the bands:
The Northern Key
The Northern Key is the project of singer/songwriter Andrew Galluccio, in addition to Christina Platter (keys and violin) and Danny Sullivan (drums). The band was helped in part by Chris Chu of The Morning Benders who recorded and mixed the debut album at Different Fur Studios in San Francisco in 2010. Featured in the 2010 Noise Pop Festival they were referred to as “Offering tracks full of haunting violin and somber vocals all resting on a bed of delicate guitar strumming, The Northern Key craft melodies suitable for the frequent chilly days of San Francisco’s foggy shores.”
In less than a year from the debut release, and joined by fellow songwriter Christina Platter, Andrew Galluccio brings us a new collection of songs. The 10 song LP Wedgewood was produced, engineered, and arranged by Jason Goessl at Parlour Trick Studios in Seattle and titled after the neighborhood in which it was recorded. Wedgewood will be available in digital format and on 12" 180 gram vinyl through the Tricycle Records catalog in November of 2011.

Ash Reiter
Ash Reiter is a SF based indie pop outfit that has received much critical acclaim. They've performed, alongside MGMT, atSeattle's Capitol Hill Block Party and been featured on Daytrotter. Ash Reiter sings with a rich honey and whiskey voice that recalls the the intimacy of Cat Power while the band provides unique color drawing from influences as varied as Grizzly Bear, Strokes, and The Kinks.
"A sweet elementary school music teacher with a big voice, who likes to curse........ Ash Reiter stands out with its high-energy performances. Collectively, the musicians have a clear pop sound and a playful vibe, akin to Tilly and the Wall or Architecture in Helsinki. More importantly, Ash Reiter has substance, both in terms of her musicianship and the depth of her lyrics. She's a teacher, after all. But most of her songs are upbeat.
"I got tired of listening to sad bands; I'm just not interested in listening to that," Reiter said. "I'd like to see something that makes me dance." - East Bay Express

Bells
Blending heavy percussion, soulful vocal harmonies, and thoughtful arrangements Bells has arrived at a sound that is uniquely theirs. Although they are a new group and still working on their first recordings, they are quickly drawing an audience with diverse musical tastes. Birthed from the imaginations of singer-percussionist Sandra Lawson-Ndu, and bassist-singer Doug Stuart. The songs are brought to life with the help of Derek Barber on guitar and vocals, and Geneva Harrison on drums, percussion, and vibes.
