Official opening of our fostering progran

This years from the 2 October 2011 , till end of June 2012 , SOS Elephants will :
-Cover the school fees of the 160 kids of the Mayo Lemie around Bere where we have a group of more than 500 elephants live near by.
-Provide school equipments to the 4 community schools ( school boards , books , notebooks , pens )

This years from the 2 October 2011 , till end of June 2012 , SOS Elephants will :
-Cover the school fees of the 160 kids of the Mayo Lemie around Bere where we have a group of more than 500 elephants live near by.
-Provide school equipments to the 4 community schools ( school boards , books , notebooks , pens )
-Provide two environmental teachers , one is the Director of the wildlife in the area , another is the SOS Elephants Secretary general , English teacher. each week , the kids will follow the National program and get 2 hours of environmental education .
-Provide a lot of books about the elephants , the endangered species , climate change, pollution ..some of them are in English and will be explained to the kids with our English teacher, others are in French .
-we are also in the process the create a documentary movie to explain the whole community what is on with the elephants and the others communities in others communities of Africa as Kenya .
SOS Elephants aims to sensitize the community of the Mayo Lemie that the elephants are their patrimony and we they should participate to the conservation
The official opening of this program will happen beginning of October 2011 with the presence of the Administratives authorities of the area , the Paramount Chief who is SOS Elephants supporter since year and the Chief of the Dircetion of the Wildlife in the area
