We know that we’re celebrating GKD in October instead of March. And we know that Fleet Week is also on Saturday, October 8. We know you want to see the Angels and the sailboats and have some brats and burgers on a rooftop somewhere. Well, we don’t have a rooftop...sorry.
We have Guinness. And you have Sunday to watch the planes and see those dashing young sailors parade through SF in their whites. And besides, the air show on Saturday is from 1 pm to 4 pm. So you can go find a rooftop for those 3 hours and come back…we’ll keep the kegs cold and the Stew hot for you.
Together we’ve drunk 10 kegs of Guinness plus enough free radical beers to easily bring our running total to over 14 kegs. We've shared about 12 handles of whiskey, 13 liters of Bailey’s Irish Cream, and more than 1,000 Car Bombs. Collectively we've done over 15 hours of keg stands, played 749 rounds of beer pong, and easily flipped over 500,000 red solo cups. And all of this is true.
And it’s been fun, a LOT of fun. But we’ve turned a corner. We’re pushing 30, hell, some of us are already there. It’s time for a change. It’s time to get serious.
So this year we’re upping the ante. We'll still have flip cup, beer pong, traditional Irish music, and all the Guinness and Car Bombs you can drink. But this year we’re getting 3 kegs. We’re making two Guinness Stews – one vegetarian and one carnivorous (yep, it will eat you). We’re working with neighbors to open the back parking lot to Beer Pong and Flip Cup. We’re even in talks with Mama Natura to get some California Sun instead of Dublin Fog.
And you’re getting a kick ass Guinness Keg Day.
Welcome back.
