Vik will give an overview on the North Texas RCIC Emerging Technology Fund (ETF) and share some of his experience on what to pitch when presenting to an investor, followed by Q&A.

Bio:

Vik joined the North TX RCIC in 2009 to oversee the regional commercialization process for the Emerging Technology Fund (ETF) in North Texas. Vik leads the engagement process and assists in the mentoring and deal vetting of early stage technology companies from pre, during and post ETF funding. Prior to joining the NTXRCIC, Vik worked with Dallas based private equity firm Lone Star New Markets conducting financial and business analysis projects. He also spent the initial first years of his career working in the Information Technology field for Fortune 500 companies such as Zale’s, Lockheed Martin and start-ups Univesco, Inc. and Best Crossmark, managing enterprise application implementations, customizing solutions and developing software on the Microsoft platform.

Vik has a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Science from University of Texas at Dallas. He is very active in the Texas entrepreneur community and currently serves on the board of TeXchange. Vik lives in Las Colinas with his wife Geetha and daughter Maya.

Event Details:

The speaker series events are free and open to the public. We will be ordering pizza for everyone this week so come early and grab a few slices before noon.
